Typically, we meet in the morning, greet each other, and say something like:
“If I’m ever in your way, just let me know — I’ll step aside.”
That sets the tone: mutual respect, shared goals, and a team mindset.
If someone happens to stand in my shot, I can usually find another 25 angles to work with.
Plus, my shooting style is very fluid — I move constantly and rarely stay in one place for long.
During the ceremony, I always have at least one alternate angle — often more.
If a photographer blocks one of my cameras for a few moments, I’ve got backups.
And photographers don’t usually stay in the same spot either, so we naturally rotate around each other.
The truth is, I work with new teams almost every weekend —
and this open, flexible, professional rhythm has never let me down.
